BOF: 2.105

A 66-year-old female presents with a history of a lump in the neck that is gradually increasing in size. She is on thyroxine replacement, as she is known to have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. On examination she is found to have a nodule in her thyroid gland.

Fine needle aspiration performed and the results would suggest:

a)      Lymphoma

b)      Papillary carcinoma

c)      Medullary carcinoma

d)      Follicular carcinoma

e)      Anaplastic carcinoma
