A 68 year old male who is known to have mitral valve disease and
who has atrial fibrillation which is controlled using digoxin and warfarin is
admitted with a severe nose bleed. His INR is > 10. He is treated with 3 units
of fresh frozen plasma and the bleeding stops.
About 8 hour later the patient becomes breathless and hypoxic.
Chest X-ray shows bilateral pulmonary infiltrates.
